Very thin lines or hairlines do not generally print well. Set the thickness of the line at a minimum of 0.25 points or at least 0.003 inches in terms of width. A single or double point line looks superb around the photographs.
Bleeds are the term that is used for printing which gets to the edge of the paper. This is also known as the full bleed. When you are designing for the bleed, make sure that the document has vertical and horizontal dimensions that are 0.25” larger. The final size of the piece should be enlarged when making your document. Add the layout that measures about 0.125” all the way.
